This feature allows you to convert existing collections of PDF files into EndNote records.
Click the Choose button to open the Import Folder dialog box.
Select a folder, and then click OK. Ensure that you are selecting a folder that contains PDF files.
If the selected folder lists subfolders, click the "Include files in all subfolders" check box to include PDF files in those subfolders in the import operation.
Select the PDF import option from the Import Options list.
Select a value for the Duplicates field.
Click the Import button.
Choose Button: Click Choose to open the Windows Open dialog where you can select a file. Note that the default value in the Import Option field is PDF. Do not change this selection if you intend to import a PDF file.
Import Options: The default value is PDF File of Folder. Click the down arrow to select another file format. You must select a PDF file if you do not change the default value in this field.
Duplicates: The default value is Import All. Other options include Discard Duplicates and Import Into Duplicates Library.
Import All: Imports all references, including duplicates.
Discard Duplicates: Imports all references except duplicates.
Import into Duplicates Library: Duplicate references are imported into a library called File-Dupl.enl, where ”r;File" is the name of the library into which you are importing.
Cancel Button: Click Cancel at anytime time to stop this operation and to close the dialog box.
